A Response to “Apocalypse Now”

The will, the will to be a monster and remain a man still. That is the struggle in the souls of men at war. How do they cope with the horror? The chaos? And ultimately the incremental seeds of their undoing?

There is no rising above the slaughter.

There is no returning to a former self. You return to your loved ones if you are lucky; but you never return to you. You lose the child…
